I have a 2011 BMW 128i that I love. Unfortunately, rodents got inside my engine compartment and chewed through a bunch of wires. Cutting Edge completed MORE work on my car (than originally identified by the dealer) for $650 LESS than the dealer "starting price" quote! For the exact work quoted by the dealer, Cutting Edge completed the work for $1000 LESS THAN THE DEALER QUOTE! On top of that, they were absolutely wonderful to work with - very honest, open and hardworking. I was impressed with the mechanic's experience and knowledge from working on BMWs (with a dealership) for 20 years. Amazing people, top-notch quality, fast service! I am so pleased to have found a shop with a home-town mechanic's ethics and morals, and quality of work to compete with the best of them! I would highly recommend Cutting Edge, especially for BMWs. For anyone who wants more details: I had worked with Santa Fe BMW (the dealer) in the past while my car was under warranty so I first took my car to them. They told me I would have to pay a diagnostic fee for one hour to assess the damage. When I went to pick it up, they told me the mechanic had "accidentally" spent 8 hours working on my car (not possible because of when when I dropped it off) and wanted to charge me extra for the labor. I was firm that I had only OK'ed 1 hour of work so luckily I didn't have to pay extra, but I bet they get a lot of other people to fall for that and get some easy extra money! Anyway, they gave me a quote to repair the rodent damage of ±$1,200 "to start" (meaning the actual repairs would likely be higher, by how much is anyone's guess). Needless to say I was concerned. I originally went to the dealer because BMW prides themselves on customer services but this interaction, and other previous questionable dealings with the dealer, destroyed my trust in them and left me feeling misused and swindled. I needed another option. I found Cutting Edge online and was impressed by all their positive reviews. I gave Carlos a call and was impressed again at how honest, straightforward and accommodating he was. When I brought my car in, he had the mechanic look at it right away. I agreed to the diagnostic fee, but what was really amazing about the diagnosis was the mechanic started the repair work DURING the diagnosis; the work was included in the diagnostic fee so I didn't have to pay more! Wow! Amazing! During the diagnostic, he found additional issues the dealer either found and was saving to tell me later and increase the cost, or didn't find. (Sidenote: not sure how Cutting Edge managed to find these items in about two hours but Santa Fe BMW didn't find them during the "8 hours" they were diagnosing my car.) The extra items included oxygen sensors that had shorted out when chewed-through wires touched each other and a chewed-through exhaust sensor wire. Cutting Edge managed to completely repair all the elements the dealer found for $200 (remember the dealer wanted to charge $1,200) - Cutting Edge saved me $1,000 off the dealer price! Then they fixed the other issues they found and my final total was around $550 (including the $200 above). I am so grateful for the Cutting Edge team's sensitivity to cost and their dedication to doing the best thing for the car. Thank you all! I'll be a repeat customer for sure (although hopefully not for anything else serious!)!

Hands down the number one best place for aftermarket parts and service in Santa Fe. I recently purchased a lift, tires and exhaust for my F150 here and had them install it. They beat every other quote in the area (even ABQ) and got it done clean and fast.

I broke down in my motorhome on Memorial day weekend with my son and 4 dogs. The mechanic that replaced my fuel pump earlier in the year did a very poor job. Cutting Edge was amazing! They replaced the fuel pump and some other small parts and were extremely professional and gracious with my situation. I am very happy with the services Cutting Edge provided and I will never hesitate to use them again.

I spent about 5k with cutting edge and had about another 5k worth of business to spend in repairs on my Porsche Panamera. During the first 5k worth of work being done, the staff were very friendly. However, when I slowed down the process and was asking for small things to be done. They changed their tone. Almost to the point that I felt like I was annoying them. However, I continued to do business with them. Until now! My engine light came on. So I immediately took it in to cutting edge and spoke to Kim specifically. She had Dillon the mechanic take a look at it. Mind you she quoted me a half hour of labor but of course it came out to be an hour. It was a $700 repair. So I told Kim that I could pay her on the 1st of December. However, she told me that the part was a special order and had to be paid upfront? I have never had to pay for an car repair upfront! It is not the money but the principle. After spending already so much money with this shop, they not only don't trust their customers but they don't appreciate the ones who put food on their tables. Not once have I met the owner or even know what he looks like but he obviously doesn't give a f about his 20% that will be his customer for pretty much for life. All because of $380 that has to be paid upfront. What an insult and a disgrace to your business. You should be ashamed. I will be taking my thousands elsewhere. Thank you!

Highly recommend this auto repair shop! Everyone goes above and beyond to get me the best deal and to thoroughly explain every process. Unlike other shops, I never feel like I’m being sold on any unnecessary work or find mysterious charges on my invoice. This is the reason why I recommend them to all my friends and family. If you want a job well done come to these guys!

Do not take your car to this shop! They will rip you off. They have been in business for twenty years and have been getting away with it for too long. I have a Porsche Panamera that I initially spent about 5k in repairs at cutting edge. I just found out today by total chance that they are fudging the invoices. For instance, they quoted me new pads for the front and rear brakes. However, the quote was for two sets of pads on the font and the back. This is impossible because you only need one set of pads for each set of brakes. That is about an $800 difference. Also, they like to get parts from Porsche and then up charge them to make even more money. These are just a few of the shananagans that Chad and Kim pull to screw their customers. I am writing this post to warn others as well as to hopefully have some customers come forward and look at their invoices because I am not the only one. I have started a case with attorney generals office to formally go after them criminally.

Traveling in New Mexico when oil light came on, which usually indicates a bad oil sensor in VW Eorovan. Cutting Edge was recommended by a local with same vehicle. Too soon to know if they did a good job, but they charged 1 hr labor for each thing done, and one was adjusting oil level--charged $100/hr and did work not asked for. We just wanted oil sensor replaced. Hope the other work was necessary as we were charged over $600 . Don't know if we were overcharged since we are from out of state.

Jacqueline, thank you for your feedback however this review came to us as a surprise as we typically do not receive complaints in regards to our prices. I would like to further explain the details of your service as it seems there was a miscommunication. Your vehicle was brought to us with an illuminated oil pressure light, we first checked the oil level to discover it was low and adjusted it at no cost. This would have been the best case scenario however it did not solve the problem. We then began a standard diagnosis process and we ran both electrical and fluid pressure tests to discover the damaged part and proceeded with the proper repair. In addition to the oil issue we discovered the power steering and brake fluid needed to be replaced which we informed you of and performed per your approval. We take great pride in our work and charge accordingly for the the quality our customers expect. $100hr is a Santa Fe standard for automotive repair as it is a very expensive city to live in as well as do business in. Again, we apologize for any misunderstanding please give us a call to discuss further.
