Broke down near Santa Fe, had vehicle towed to cutting edge automotive in Santa Fe. Vehicle had one spark plug blown out, I supplied coil pack, spark, plug, and boot. Was charged $300 to install one spark, plug with coil, pack, and boot. I felt I was ripped off and taken advantage of but had no choice. Very dishonest and unprofessional. When I got home had all 10 spark plugs and boots replaced for $650. Would not recommend this shot.

Hello Sam. We recently received your review and wanted to clarify some things. You had a plug blow out of the head. You were charged two hours of labor at our base labor rate of $127.95. It was not replacing a coil and plug. It was drilling out, rethreading, installing a new sleeve and then install a new plug and coil. We didn't take advantage of any situation as this is a standard time to perform this. To remove and replace a spark plug take .7 hours and would cost 109.38. That is the standard time dictated by Ford. IF we had simply replaced the plug without doing anything else, that would be unethical and dishonest. we went above and beyond, to ensure you didn't get stranded on the side of the road in the future. Further more we didnt change you for the insert kit ($30) we charged you for labor at a very fare rate. It took three days because we had other customers who made appointments dropping off and picking up cars. we take about 10-15 cars a day and worked you into our schedule. I feel it's like a lot of European automechanic shops where they charge a lot for very little work that takes a long time to complete. I'm sure there are reasons for that but it's best to know what's wrong with your vehicle and you know exactly what you want before bringing it in so it's not drawn out in more ways than one. They did the work, 3k later its working and we'll see how it goes.

I had a weird fluke with my SUV. It would not start one morning. I kept trying to start it but, be careful not to flood it. Lol turns out, I still did. I had it towed to get it looked at. Lol turns out that's all it was. As much of a big laugh I'm sure I gave the guys. They were extremely friendly and kind. They did not charge me a dime!!! They are great!!! Thank you so much ...
